RV Graveyard by Crimsonpelt RV Graveyard by Crimsonpelt
My daughter took this one on our way back from the gem show in Plant City, FL. This has been outside Dover for over 30 years, and the residents of the town are trying to get it removed as an "eyesore" but most of the people who travel by there enjoy seeing the RV Graveyard. I hope it never gets removed.

~For Feedback Frenzy~

I would like to know what (aside from a new camera) would make this shot better, since it was taken from the car as we drove past this landmark. Is the sky too bright, the green of the trees not bright enough? What could make this piece stand out more?

Firstly, this is a great idea! I love the concept. I hope it doesn't get removed either! I like the capture, the motion blur is nice but I feel it could have been a little sharper, or captured a bit more smoothly. But I imagine this was taken whilst driving, you can see the slight blur in the grass, so making the best of a tricky situation was definitely achieved here. Nice contrast between trees and sky, and it's great that so many of the cars were fit into the frame either by capturing or cropping - definitely shows the attraction that's there. Great work :)

Hello, I’m here for feedback frenzy! To answer your questions:

What would make this a better shot? Well, I think (other than the fact it was taken from a moving vehicle) it’s a pretty good picture! I believe it’s pretty difficult to find a perfect photograph that hasn’t had any editing whatsoever, so for what it is this is good. I love the varying heights of the RVs; I think that adds character to the image and it’s an interesting sight, as well as a unique concept. I also like how there is another car in the image. Most times that can ruin an image, but it works to your advantage in this one. I’m not entirely sure what it is that I like about it, but I think it adds a bit of something different. It’s like a change of texture in materials. :)

Is the sky too bright? I don’t think it is. If it were any darker there wouldn’t be enough contrast between the sky and the trees.

What could make this piece stand out more? I think all you need is a bit of photoshop/color editing. Just make it a little more contrasting! Also if there was any way for you to retake the image without being in a moving vehicle that would probably be a lot better.

Anyway, overall it’s a good picture! I like the concept, and I think for the situation the photographer was in, it's really good.

PS: the impact rating isn't a bad thing, I'm just not easily impacted. Sorry about that!

This is amazing, They way you taken that picture with those RV feels like statue line up next to each other. Also it feels like one of the ok go video where they were outside using all these different material to make music. The car is blurry but it suppose to be blurry, because it is moving, in which, the camera won't have enough time to snap the picture. Also the picture is boring in a way, because nothing is really putting an ah. The RV could of be put in a more amazing location like a forest or a mountain or a desert that could of make the RV shine out more. Also if it was in a desert you could of made the into a futuristic look to it or wreck enough and still see the way you put it. So it would be natural in a desert, but overall this is a very good piece after all.

That's really neat actually! I hope it isn't removed :(
Does it have any other significance or is it just something to look at?

It's just something they did when people stopped using their RVs. It seems only these are the ones there, but just past them, going East on I-4, is the exit for Dover, Florida and a RV dealership, which got built after the graveyard was set up.
